Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)
The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff which means your patient experience is subject to change.
Please do not attend the GP practice.
If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus, including a new continuous cough or a high temperature.
You are advised to stay at home for 14 days.
If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service (https://111.nhs.uk) that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.
Only call 111 direct, if you cannot go online, or are advised to do so by the online service.
For the latest Covid-19 advice please visit www.nhs.uk/coronavirus
For all other queries, the practice will only be dealing with urgent issues. We are not offering routine face to face appointments. All clinical or administrative queries will be dealt with over the phone. A patient will only be seen if a Clinician feels you need a face to face appointment after a telephone consultation. This is following national guidance during the coronavirus pandemic.
COVID 19 Protocol Update for Appointment Bookings (09/03/2020)
There will be no face to face appointments bookable by receptionists for the foreseeable future. However (unless the patient is deemed to be at risk) we will honour all appointments already booked. All patients will be screened on arrival at the surgery by use of a questionnaire.
Patients requesting an on the day appointment with be booked a call back with the Duty Doctor. If the GP thinks you need to be seen they will ask you to come to the surgery.
Routine Appointments for 16 March 2020 onwards will be booked as telephone consultations with GP of your choice. You will asked the reason you require the consultation and your contact number taken. The GP will call you at some point on the day requested. Unfortunately we cannot give specific times to expect the call.
Changes to the appointment system
To increase the number of available appointments we have recruited three new part-time GPs and have increased the number of appointments with the Urgent Care Practitioner.
In addition to this we are trialling a new appointment system to try to make it easier for you to book an appointment and to improve the service we provide.
Click here for more information about the changes.
If you have any suggestions as to how we can improve our services please let us know via the practice manager. Please note this is a non-smoking practice. All consulting rooms are on the ground floor and there is disabled access throughout. We also have adapted WC facilities at all three sites.
This website contains a range of health information and resources, along with practical information on visiting the surgery. We hope you find it useful and informative.
